Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP Rome match.
A pair of almost equal tennis players will open the stage. The first quarter-final game between Carlos Alcaraz and Jack Draper will take place in Rome.
Jack Draper
Both players needed three sets to win their previous opponents. After losing a set on his serve, Jack Draper decided to stop fighting and lost the first set against Corentin Moutet. However, when the British player started to perform with the whole focus on the game, Moutet had no chance to win, with the score being 6:4, 6:3 in the remaining sets. This is going to be the second consecutive quarter-final on clay for Draper as he previously reached the final in Madrid.
Carlos Alcaraz
Alcaraz reached the final of ATP 500 in Barcelona. He lost it to Casper Ruud, just like Jack Draper did in Madrid. Now Draper or Alcaraz can meet the Norwegian only in the final. The previous round game versus Karen Khachanov was difficult for Carlos Alcaraz. He won, though (6:3, 3:6, 7:5).
Jack Draper vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction
Both players are in perfect form. This means that no point will be an easy thing to win. The Spanish player has a minimal advantage in their head-to-head meetings (3-2). However, they’re tied in this season (1-1). This is going to be a tough and pretty long game, with anyone having a chance to win.
