Japan
Japan didn't have any chance against current world champion Germany (77:99).
Even in this match they made only 37.5% of two-point shots and scored 20 points. It's hard to imagine how they'll do against the French, who are the most athletic players in the tournament.
France
France managed to use their best qualities and really pressure the Brazilians on defence. The team still doesn't have a clear point guard, but in the early stages against teams like Brazil and Japan, this isn’t a big problem when you have Wembanyama, Batum, and Gobert blocking everything. In total, the French had six blocks, half of which were from Wemba.
