Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP Wimbledon match.
One of the most unpredictable and entertaining figures on tour in recent months, Alexander Bublik is set to test Jaume Munar, despite the two being born just over a month apart.
Jaume Munar
Munar is the elder of the two, but currently sits lower in the ATP rankings at No. 55. His position reflects recent struggles on grass. Two weeks ago in Halle, the Spaniard put up a valiant fight against Carlos Alcaraz in the second round, but eventually bowed out (4:6, 7:6, 6:7). Back home in Mallorca, Munar disappointed the local crowd with a first-round loss to Gabriel Diallo (5:7, 3:6).
Alexander Bublik
Bublik, on the other hand, remains unbeaten on grass this season. He played just one warm-up event but made it count — lifting the ATP 500 trophy in Halle. In the final, he saw off third seed Daniil Medvedev (6:3, 7:6), despite not being seeded himself. His serve was a decisive weapon: 11 aces, 70% first-serve percentage, and an impressive 79% success rate behind the first delivery.
Jaume Munar vs Alexander Bublik Prediction
It's unclear how Munar will respond, as these two have never met before, but Bublik clearly enters in top physical and mental shape. The Kazakh should overcome the Spaniard, who may put up some resistance but not enough to seriously threaten.
