Simon Dalton presents his prediction bet on the 1/16 final match of the Shanghai Masters snooker.
In the match between John Higgins and Lyu Haotian, the four-time world champion is the clear favorite going into the match. Even though Lyu performed well at the Wuhan tournament last year and is ranked 31st in the world, his achievements are still quite modest. On top of that, Haotian didn't play in the Championship League, so we'll see him in action for the first time this season. Higgins played in one group, got a bit warmed up, and in our opinion he has a much higher level of play, tons of experience, and a complete dominance in their head-to-head record. We can suggest a combo bet that John Higgins will win the match and make the highest break. We also doubt Lyu Haotian's consistency and his ability to score four half-century breaks.
