Judd Trump
Judd Trump is one of the contenders to win the title. He’s the leader of the rating of the season. Trump has taken many titles this season. It’s going to be very hard to stop him. Judd has learned to play under pressure in recent years. He remembers that Ronnie O’Sullivan is still the world rating leader, but Judd manages to accept it. Judd has learned to divide his forces. He’s heavily focused on the key and important tournaments. And he just enjoys the game in other tournaments, without wasting his nerves.
Hossein Vafaei
The Iranian player has been obviously progressing. He confidently played in two qualifying games, beating Marco Fu 10:4 and Jiang Jun 10:5. He seemed to easily pass through the qualifying tournament, which means that Vafaei is prepared for the main stages. I think that Hossein remembers that 2 years ago he was beaten by Judd Trump at this very stage of this very tournament (4:10).

I think that Vafaei will perform better this time than it was two years ago. However, Judd Trump is obviously a favourite to me. He has already proved on many occasions that he’s ready to be number 1.
