Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Copa Libertadores match
Last week, Junior and Colo-Colo delivered one of the most hard-fought matches of the Copa Libertadores Round of 16 (0:1). It seems likely that in Barranquilla, the teams will once again play with caution, avoiding risks as either side could punish mistakes.
Junior
The match in Chile was a classic example of Junior's current campaign. Notably, in 7 of the Colombian side’s last 10 matches, total under 2.5 odds has come through. On Colo-Colo’s field, they managed just one shot on target but picked up four yellow cards. At home, Junior will try to turn the tie around, but they have few options left to change the situation.
Colo-Colo
In their home game, Colo-Colo were slightly more persistent in attack, earning them the win (five shots on target and six corners). Since early July, the Chilean side have won six of their last eight games, conceding just four goals during this period. In Colombia, Colo-Colo must play carefully at the back to secure their place in the Copa Libertadores quarter-finals.
Junior - Colo-Colo Prediction
The second leg between Junior and Colo-Colo is unlikely to gladden neutral fans with an abundance of chances. We don't think there will be many goals scored in this match.
