Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
Even after parting ways with Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus have not abandoned their defensive football in domestic competitions. At home against Bologna, the Turin side will prefer to play reliably at the back, conserving their energy for an attacking focus in the next Champions League round.
Juventus
Over 14 matches this season, Juventus have conceded only eight goals — the best record in Serie A. On the flip side, they have netted just 22 goals. Among the top seven, only league leaders Napoli have a weaker attack with 21 goals. Since the beginning of November, Juventus have conceded just two goals in six matches, securing three consecutive draws following the recent international break.
Bologna
With the addition of Champions League fixtures to their schedule, Bologna have struggled to maintain balanced play in each match. They have managed just one goal in the group stage of the European competition — they possess the weakest attack in the tournament. At home against Venezia (3:0), Bologna conceded only 0.42 xGA, but their upcoming opponent will not allow them much time on the ball.
Juventus vs Bologna Prediction
In front of their fans, Juventus have conceded just three goals in Serie A, and Bologna are unlikely to seize the initiative from the favourites. "Both Teams to Score – No" appears to be an enticing option.
