Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Italian Serie A match.
A new era under promising coach Thiago Motta brings hope to Juventus fans. They want their club to be the best in Italian football again. The first Serie A test against newly promoted Como shouldn't be too hard for them.
Juventus
Juventus not only changed coaches but also some players. They let go of players like Moise Kean, Andrien Rabiot, and Wojciech Szczęsny. Juventus is still waiting to sign Teun Koopmeiners. The Dutch player is the last piece needed in midfield, where new players Khephren Thuram and Douglas Luis are settling in. In friendly matches, the team scored six goals in four games. That's good for a team with many young reserve players.
Como
Even in Serie B, Como was interesting because of their project led by Cesc Fabregas. The Spanish star attracted many players to the club in the off-season. They signed Raphaël Varane, Pepe Reina, Alberto Moreno, and Andrea Belotti. But even with these new players, they still lost to Sampdoria in the Italian Cup (1-2 after penalties). Varane got injured in his first game. Without the French defender, Como's defence looks weak.
Juventus - Como Prediction
In Turin, Thiago Motta needs to start with a win in his first game. Juventus will beat Como, scoring at least two goals against the newcomers.
