Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Scottish Premiership match.
Aberdeen currently sit third in the league, although their form over the last five matches has been the poorest. Nevertheless, their third place is not under immediate threat, even though they were second only a round ago.
Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock, on the other hand, are collecting points for the third consecutive game. Their last defeat came at the hands of Rangers (0:6) in Glasgow. At Rugby Park, their balance of victories and losses is neutral, with two apiece, but the ninth place in the home table is less than satisfactory. Remarkably, Kilmarnock secured their two home wins in these seven matches against Rangers (1:0) and, in the penultimate round, against Heart of Midlothian (1:0), who seem to be emerging from a crisis.
Aberdeen
Playing away from Pittodrie seems to benefit Aberdeen. They have lost only once in seven away matches despite an overall poor run of six games. The sole defeat came surprisingly against St. Mirren (1:2) and not against Celtic (2:2). Another noteworthy point about Aberdeen on the road is that they have scored in every away match.
Kilmarnock vs Aberdeen Prediction
The situation is unlikely to change this time, as Kilmarnock concede on average more than one goal per game at home (10 in 7), whereas Aberdeen have scored 12 in 7. This goal should be sufficient for the visitors to at least secure a draw.
