Zhou Yuelong made three centuries in a match with Barry Hawkins and got in good shape before playing with reigning world champion Kyren Wilson. Wilson attended various events for two months with the World Championship cup, so we doubt Wilson would be able to get off to a good start to the season with such a snooker hangover. I would rate Yuelong's chances of winning much higher than the bookmakers. Although Zhou did not play well in the Championship League, in the first game of the Shanghai Masters he showed that he was well prepared for the season. We do not know how good is Kyren Wilson right now, but we doubt that Wilson will play in the first match of the new season in the same way as in the World Championship final.
