Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the La Liga match.
The hosts have yet to secure a win this season, and they welcome an opponent who themselves have not managed a victory in their last three matches. Is there any point in betting on the outcome, or is it better to consider a bet on goals?
Las Palmas
Las Palmas sit at the bottom of the table with just three points, primarily due to their dreadful defensive display, with only Valladolid faring worse. They have conceded 16 goals against an xGA of 16.8 and have yet to keep a clean sheet. Nonetheless, their attack has been surprisingly pleasing, scoring nine goals from 8.3 xG. Only once this season have the team failed to score, with a bet on “both teams to score” occurring in seven of their eight matches.
Celta Vigo
Celta Vigo also favour high-scoring matches and possess a similarly dreadful defence, having conceded 15 goals, just one fewer than their opponents. However, their attacking prowess is noteworthy, with 15 goals from 12 xG. While their last two matches haven't been the most prolific, Las Palmas appear to be the perfect opponents for their forwards to find the net again. Iago Aspas particularly stands out in their attack, having already scored four goals, placing him fourth in the scoring charts alongside Lamine Yamal.
Las Palmas vs Celta Vigo Prediction
Matches between these two sides have always been productive, with both teams finding the net in their last 12 encounters, regardless of the final result. The current form of both teams suggests this trend will continue.
