Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the WNBA match.
The Las Vegas Aces entered the All-Star break in solid form, having balanced out their win-loss record. The main question now is whether they’ve managed to keep that momentum going. They return to action hosting high-profile visitors, the Atlanta Dream.
Las Vegas Aces
The success of the Las Vegas Aces continues to revolve around the performances of their standout player, A'ja Wilson. She posted 34 and 37 points in her last two games, effectively securing consecutive wins for the squad. During the All-Star break, she took a step back, playing just 12 minutes and scoring four points. Even so, that should be enough to maintain her rhythm heading into this fixture.
Atlanta Dream
The Atlanta Dream have endured an inconsistent spell of late. Over the last month, they’ve played 12 games and won just six. Their main issue lies in an offence that lacks consistency. While they can dominate against weaker opponents, they often struggle to produce against stronger teams. For example, they managed only 72 points in a recent match against the New York Liberty, and even against the vulnerable defence of the Indiana Fever, they could only tally 82.
Las Vegas Aces vs Atlanta Dream Prediction
The Las Vegas Aces are rightly considered favourites for this clash, and we fully support that view. A'ja Wilson is currently in a form that allows her to take control of any game. The Atlanta Dream clearly have work to do, but it’s unlikely they’ll implement changes quickly enough to make a difference here. We’re backing the home team to take this one.
