Leeds United and Bournemouth are well placed for their ambitions. The hosts sit in the middle of the standings, while the visitors are in the European places. Each side hopes for three points, but only one will collect them unless they have to settle for a draw.
Leeds United
Leeds United, like Bournemouth, have settled for a draw only once, in Matchweek 3 against Newcastle United. Neither side worked out how to score even once. On two other occasions the hosts lost when they failed to score. Yet those seven points had to come from somewhere. Everton failed to press the issue (seven shots with one on target) and lost after they conceded from the spot (0:1). Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently dropping points to almost everyone, and opponents keep taking advantage (3:1).
Bournemouth
Bournemouth will take some prising open. Even against Liverpool, they yielded all three points only late on (2:4). Everyone knows about the club’s issue at centre-back. They sold Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi to established clubs, yet Marcos Senesi, who missed more than half of last season with a serious injury, is delivering solid performances. When he was not facing the champions, the Argentinian’s rating was above 7.0. That tracks: from Matchweek 2 to Matchweek 5, the visitors conceded only once.
Leeds United vs Bournemouth Prediction
It will be hard for Leeds United to score against Bournemouth, because the hosts have found the net only four times since the start of the campaign; therefore we expect to see the visitors avoid defeat, with no more than three goals in the game.
