Bristol City are battling for a place in the play-off zone and currently hold not only a points advantage but also the benefit of knowing the results of all other fixtures. Leeds United have access to the same information, but the key will be how effectively they can use it.
Leeds United
Leeds United have already secured promotion to the English Premier League but will certainly want to retain the first place they have held for most of the season. Burnley’s emphatic 5:0 victory has temporarily pushed them ahead of Leeds United, but even such a significant win is unlikely to be enough. Leeds United simply need to win all their remaining matches by any scoreline, particularly given the improbability of Burnley defeating Millwall in the final round by a margin as large as 12:0. Therefore, Leeds United are unlikely to ease off in front of their own supporters.
Bristol City
Bristol City, however, could counter with exceptional motivation. They are currently fifth in the standings, and no other team is realistically able to catch them. A victory would guarantee their place in the top six. Any other result would leave the squad in a precarious position. Furthermore, in the final round they will face Preston North End, a team that has dramatically declined and now risks relegation to League One, an outcome few would have predicted just a month ago. A wounded opponent can be particularly dangerous.

Both Leeds United and Bristol City have a lot at stake in this match, so we would avoid betting on a straight outcome. Instead, we expect a high-scoring encounter. Leeds United have seen over 2.5 goals in four of their last seven matches, while Bristol City have managed it in five.
