Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the La Liga match.
In this match, two teams will fight for survival. Both have numerous problems, and encounters between them offer chances to secure at least a point. Let’s see which of them will succeed.
Leganés
This season, the hosts have managed just one win, but they are now unbeaten in two rounds. Leganés play a dull, defensive game, showing only 5.7 xG and having scored five goals in eight rounds. Meanwhile, with an xGA of 10.6, they've conceded just nine. It's worth noting that players under Borja Jiménez have only once participated in a match with three goals, and in seven of their eight matches, the total under 2.5 has prevailed.
Valencia
Valencia have been struggling for the past few years, often snatching safety spots at the end of the season. However, their current form shows no promise whatsoever. Their attack is in dire straits, with only five goals from 5.8 xG. Their defence is also poor, even with the impressive performances of Euro standout goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. Currently, they have already conceded 13 goals with an xGA of 13.5.
Leganés vs Valencia Prediction
In three of their last five encounters, the scoreline ended 1:1. In the other two, only one goal was scored in each. The trend for low-scoring football is set to continue, and we won't see plenty of goals. While neither team performs well defensively, their offensive play is worse.
