Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Leicester City were left disappointed in the last Premier League round, having dropped a point against Arsenal. Bournemouth faced a much easier opponent, so they head to the King Power Stadium in high spirits.
Leicester City
Arsenal bombarded Leicester City's goal at the Emirates, with the visitors facing 35 shots, 16 of which were on target for Mads Hermansen. The Danish keeper made 13 saves, conceded three goals, and another was an own goal from a teammate. Arsenal created an impressive nine goal-scoring opportunities, leading to an xGA of nearly five—4.60. Despite an xG of just 0.32, Leicester City scored twice from five attempts, with three on target. They may create few chances, but their efficiency has gained them two extra points: with an xG of 4.32, they've scored eight goals, placing them at the top based on this difference.
AFC Bournemouth
With Bournemouth, predicting their home and away performances is a challenge. They have recorded one win, one draw, and one loss both at home and away this season. In the last round, they claimed their first home victory. Southampton, who have been capitulating against nearly everyone, were an easy target. On the road, Bournemouth predictably lose to clubs of European competition level. The last time they fell to a less esteemed opponent was back in April against Luton Town (1:2).
Leicester City vs AFC Bournemouth Prediction
Leicester City's attacking efficiency gives confidence in their ability to score, especially since they're playing at home. Bournemouth have failed to score away this year only against Arsenal and Liverpool. Therefore, we expect both teams to find the back of the net.
