Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Leicester City still have a chance to secure their Premier League status, but they must start picking up points—especially at home. Brentford are not the strongest away side, but they remain a dangerous opponent.
Leicester City
Leicester City have one win and four defeats in their last five matches and have lost all five of their previous home games. They are just two points from safety, but at this rate, survival seems like an uphill battle. At King Power Stadium, they concede nearly two goals per game (23 in 13 matches). In their last three home fixtures, they have conceded twice against London clubs Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Arsenal—without scoring in response.
Brentford
Brentford have recently improved their away form, something that wasn't a strength earlier in the season. They are unbeaten in their last four away games, winning the last three while conceding just once. Kevin Schade has been particularly impressive, scoring in all three of those victories. While their opponents weren't the strongest, Leicester are also struggling significantly.
Leicester City vs Brentford Prediction
Brentford has not lost to Leicester City in their last three meetings. Their two away matches ended in draws (2:2, 1:1), while Brentford won 4:1 at home. Given Leicester’s struggles and Brentford’s recent away form, the visitors should at least avoid defeat, and we expect a high-scoring game.
