Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Both clubs experienced the frustration of missing out on victories in the previous round, with Leicester City conceding late, while Everton's defeat was sealed long before the final whistle. Additionally, the Merseyside club failed to secure any points, making it even more disheartening and leaving them near the bottom of the table.
Leicester City
Leicester City led 2:0 against Crystal Palace, thanks to goals from Jamie Vardy and Stephy Mavididi. However, the initiative then shifted to their opponents, who capitalised and equalised. Overall, Leicester City’s goal was under significant pressure throughout the match, conceding fewer goals than expected with 2.55 xG and allowing 20 shots. Nonetheless, they weren’t shy in attacking either, with nine attempts in the first half alone.
Everton
Everton keep falling into the same traps. They quickly took a two-goal lead against Aston Villa but faltered in the second half (2:3). This was similar to their match against Bournemouth. In both these games, they allowed 17 shots, higher than their average of 14.3. Issues abound in their defence, having conceded 13 goals in 4 games, although the same cannot be said about their attack.
Leicester City vs Everton Prediction
In all of Leicester City's Premier League matches, both teams have scored at least once, while this has occurred in two out of four of Everton’s games. It’s worth noting that Tottenham Hotspur's and Brighton's defences are much more reliable than Leicester City’s, and these matches took place in the first and second rounds. Now, Everton have started finding the net more regularly. It makes sense to bet on both teams to score.
