Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Leicester City are sliding down towards the Championship, seemingly gaining momentum in their decline. Back in early December, there was a spark following the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy as manager. However, even the Dutchman’s energy isn't enough to turn the tide. Up next are Fulham, a side ready to challenge any favourites, let alone an underdog.
Leicester City
Leicester City have gone six matches not only without a win but without collecting any points whatsoever. Even Southampton, in their last six encounters, managed to snag at least one draw. It's not that they lack scoring opportunities; in their recent match against Crystal Palace, they created almost as many chances as the visitors (1.70–1.82 in xG, 3–4 in goal-scoring opportunities, and 21–9 in shots). Yet, the London side scored twice while the hosts drew a blank.
Fulham
Fulham also lost their latest match, but their opponents that evening seemed to have luck firmly on their side. West Ham United managed just four shots at goal, three of which were on target and all became goals (3:2), despite missing their entire frontline. Such days occur for any team, but what matters is prior form, and Fulham were unbeaten in eight games, mainly consisting of draws (six), yet included a hard-fought away victory over a top Chelsea side (2:1).
Leicester City vs Fulham Prediction
No, success seems elusive for Leicester City in their current state. Psychologically, it's tough to rally, and notably, Fulham have beaten them in four out of their last five encounters. We’re confident it will be the same this time around.
