Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Premier League match
The recent in the Championship allowed Leicester to clean up their team, though by the first Premier League round against Tottenham, Jamie Vardy had few star partners left. However, Leicester still has plenty of experienced players who intend to challenge Tottenham, who are betting on an attacking style.
Leicester CIty
After manager Enzo Maresca left Leicester, the team also missed Marc Albrighton, Dennis Praet, Kelechi Iheanacho and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. As a free agent Onyinye Ndidi left the team too, but in July he signed a new contract with the club, he remains the team’s leading midfielder. Newcomers Bobby Decordova-Reid and Facundo Buonanotte arrived to join the new coach, he’ll try to integrate them into the team as quickly as possible. We note that in five friendlies, Leicester hit total over 2,5 three times. They can wait to perform spectacularly in the Premier League again.
Tottenham
Last season, Tottenham played brave and aggressive football, which almost took the team to the Champions League under Ange Postecoglou in the first season. And in pre-season, they kept their attacking mindset, in five out of six friendlies, at least three goals were scored. The signing of Dominic Solanke is also intriguing, the physical forward became Tottenham's record transfer. He should fit perfectly into the London players’ system, often playing as a "false nine".
Leicester City - Tottenham Prediction
Since May 2021, total over 3.5 has consistently hit in head-to-head meetings. Leicester and Tottenham might not reach four goals, but they'll definitely manage three.
