Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the La Liga match.
Real Madrid sit top of La Liga after five straight wins. They have adapted quickly to a high-pressing style and are dominating opponents. Levante, meanwhile, only just claimed their first victory of the season and remain in the danger zone.
Levante
Their breakthrough came in a 4:0 demolition of Girona, although that was aided by two red cards for the opposition. Even so, Levante have shown attacking intent in tougher fixtures too, scoring twice against both Barcelona (2:3) and Real Betis (2:2). At the heart of their threat is former Villarreal forward Etta Eyong, who has produced a goal contribution in five consecutive matches, including two goals and an assist for Levante. The problem lies at the back – five goals conceded across their two home fixtures underline defensive frailty.
Real Madrid
Real Madrid kept their perfect run going with a 2:0 win over Espanyol. Key players are returning to fitness, including Jude Bellingham, while Kylian Mbappé is already flying with five goals to his name. Xabi Alonso has attacking depth and tactical flexibility at his disposal, and his pressing system allows Real Madrid to take control early in games. Still, they have shown some vulnerability, committing at least one major error in three of their last four outings, and they have conceded in nine of their last eleven meetings with Levante.
Levante vs Real Madrid Prediction
Levante will not shy away from playing openly and can trouble even the top clubs. However, Real Madrid’s quality and current form are on another level. The visitors should extend their winning streak, though the hosts look capable of nicking a goal.
