Luca Brecel
Luca Brecel is still suffering from a snooker hangover after winning the 2023 World Championship. The Belgian Bullet failed last season, and there have been no changes since the break between the seasons. In Shanghai, Brecel lost to Si Jiahui 2:6, in the qualification for the tournament in Wuhan, he lost to Daniel Wells 4:5, and simply did not show up for the match with Hammad Miah in the qualification for the Grand Prix.
Pang Junxu
Pang Junxu has played a lot of matches this season and lost only two of them - both to Mark Selby. Pang Junxu beat Mark Allen 6:5, Gary Wilson 6:5, Bulcsú Révész and Michael Holt, in Riyadh Pang beat Stuart Carrington 4:3 and Matthew Selt 5:3. Pang is in the top 32 and consistently beats those who are lower in the rankings.
Luca Brecel - Pang Junxu Prediction
Pang's game is very balanced. He doesn't take risks where it's not necessary and plays open positions well. In the match against Brecel, this could be very effective. Luka doesn't like to play tactical frames, although in recent years he has improved his positional game. But now Brecel is out of training, and Pang is in good shape. I think Pang can beat Brecel and make highest break in the match.
