Last season, Manchester reached the final of The Hundred, but lost to Oval Invincibles by 14 runs. In 2023, the regular season was tough for the English team - they won only 4 out of 7 matches. This year, the Manchester team wants to do well again, so they’re clearly the favourites in the match against Welsh Fire.
Welsh Fire didn’t even make it to the playoffs, missing out to Southern Brave and Manchester Originals on net run-rate. It’s worth noting that the only head-to-head match held in Manchester ended in a victory for the Originals with a 47-run margin.
