Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves are among the top 7 favourites to win the tournament according to the bookmakers. They hope to see a great shooting guard Rob Dillingham on the pitch. He could single-handedly lead the Timberwolves on a run. This is a good asset when the team doesn’t have much time to develop plays and combos.
New Orleans Pelicans
The bookmakers don’t give the Pelicans much chance to win this tournament. They are at the bottom third of the bracket along with other teams that don't have as many star players like the Nuggets, Mavericks, and Bucks. The only second-year player who stands out is Jordan Hawkins, a shooting guard who scored 7.8 points per game for the Pelicans last season.

Besides Dillingham, the Timberwolves have two other advanced players from the last two drafts in Leonard Miller and Terrence Shannon Jr. The Pelicans don't have the same level of talent.
