Last weekend’s defeat to Lecce (1:2) extended Monza's winless streak to nine matches—they haven’t secured a victory since 21 October. During this period, Monza failed to find the net in four games and their attacking prowess remains unimproved towards the end of the calendar year, reflected in a 13.47 xG, the 19th in the league. They are also hit by personnel issues: Roberto Gagliardini and Matteo Pessina are sidelined with injuries, while Daniel Maldini is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Juventus
Juventus have been dealing with a limited squad depth for several weeks—without Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal, their defence hasn't been as robust. However, the Turin side still boast the best xGA in Serie A (11.67) and have netted 13 goals in seven away fixtures, with only Atalanta (17) and Inter Milan (21) scoring more. In the cup match against Cagliari, Thiago Motta successfully utilised his bench, with Nicolás González coming off the bench to provide a goal and an assist.
