Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the NHL match.
The Nashville Predators, after their summer acquisitions, were tipped by many as contenders to at least win the Central Division. However, they've settled at the division's bottom. Their next chance to prove otherwise comes on Tuesday at home, Bridgestone Arena.
Nashville Predators
The Nashville Predators lost twice. The loss to the Dallas Stars (3:4) was anticipated, but their defeat to the Detroit Red Wings (3:0) was an unpleasant surprise, as they failed to score against Cam Talbot despite 42 attempts. That's not all—another 31 shots were blocked by the Red Wings' players. Notably, the Predators have a healthy roster, with no regulars sidelined. Is it a matter of psychology due to high expectations?
Seattle Kraken
Similar fate awaited the Kraken in their last game—zero goals scored. However, failing to score against the previous season's conference champions, the Dallas Stars, who retained much of their squad, is understandable. The Kraken side didn’t try as much, with 25 shots and another 14 blocked. In their game against the Minnesota Wild, their four goals were opposed by roughly the same number—34 shots on target and 8 blocked.
Nashville Predators vs Seattle Kraken Prediction
There might not be many goals, perhaps two or three, and high-scoring games like 5:4 are unlikely. In their three meetings last season, the maximum score was six goals (4:2 to the Kraken).
