Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the WNBA match.
Following a one-day break, the WNBA returns with a packed schedule of five fixtures, as teams intensify their push for the playoffs. The action kicks off with the New York Liberty hosting the Dallas Wings.
New York Liberty
The New York Liberty finally ended their losing run in their most recent game. They secured an 87:78 win over the Connecticut Sun, and more importantly, restored some much-needed confidence. Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones were once again the standout contributors. Ionescu posted a double-double with 36 points and 11 rebounds, while Jones came just short of the same feat, registering 21 points and 9 rebounds.
Dallas Wings
Since the All-Star break, the Dallas Wings have lost four of their last six games. The problems are piling up, and their recent 78:88 defeat to the Indiana Fever only highlighted that. Although Paige Bueckers tried to carry the squad with a 22-point performance, none of her teammates managed to reach double figures in scoring.
New York Liberty vs Dallas Wings Prediction
The recent slump by the New York Liberty appears to have been largely psychological. Internal issues may have played a role, but the long-awaited win should help them move forward. It's hard to see the Dallas Wings spoiling the mood for the hosts.
