Newcastle
Before the start of the season Newcastle were a contender to get at least to the Champions League qualification zone. But the very beginning showed that there would be some problems. The Magpies have 20 points after 12 rounds they’re in the middle of the table. The main reasons for that are the terrible situation with the squad of Newcastle and tough schedule. The side has already suffered from that, being defeated by the outsider - Bournemouth (0:2).
Chelsea
Chelsea, on the other hand, are getting better. They have lost only once in the last five Premier League games. They almost managed to beat Arsenal (2:2) and took the points from the leader Manchester City (4:4). Chelsea also beat Tottenham (4:1).
Newcastle - Chelsea prediction
Newcastle are far from being perfect. The upcoming very important Champions League game will limit the resources of the Magpies. Tonali, Burn, Botman and Wilson will miss this game due to various reasons. Participation of Barnes, Almirón and Isak is under question. Chelsea is likely to easily beat their opponent.
