Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Although the teams may not be the most high-profile, their league standings (2nd and 3rd) indicate that this is indeed an important encounter. One must catch up with Liverpool before it is too late, while the other needs to maintain their lead over the group of chasers.
Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest are currently in poor form, having secured only one win in their last four matches. They did defeat Brighton & Hove Albion (7:0), which set a Premier League record, yet before and after that win they recorded only defeats; prior to it, they suffered a heavy defeat to AFC Bournemouth (0:5) away, and subsequently endured two consecutive narrow losses to Fulham and Newcastle United, both on the road. In fact, their situation is not entirely negative, as playing at the City Ground has proved beneficial—Nottingham Forest currently enjoy a six-match unbeaten run (five wins, one draw).
Arsenal
Arsenal, on the other hand, lost at home in the London derby against West Ham United, conceding the only goal just before half-time. Subsequently, Myles Lewis-Skelly received a straight red card after replacing Ricardo Calafiori, who had provided the assist. There was a 30-minute interval between these incidents, during which Arsenal increased their attacking efforts compared to the first half; however, only 1 of 11 shots on target was registered in the second half. They appear to lack effective finishers, and with all of their key players injured, this has evidently affected their performance.
Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal Prediction
By contrast, Nottingham Forest have an almost injury-free squad and no suspensions. Under these circumstances, we believe that this match is likely to prove challenging for Arsenal supporters. We expect that Arsenal may only manage a draw, leading us to recommend a double chance on Nottingham Forest.
