OGC Nice have been dropping too many points. Even Paris FC have moved above them. If this continues, they could well miss out on European football next season. The hosts have the chance to rein in Paris FC at the Allianz Riviera in this round.

The issue for OGC Nice is a lack of goals. Only once in the first five rounds did they score more than one. At times a single goal is enough for the opponent to win, as Toulouse proved. That happened at the Allianz Riviera. The trend continued in the UEFA Europa League against AS Roma in midweek (2:1). Perhaps one of the first-choice strikers is injured? There are players in the treatment room, but that applies to the defence: three defenders and holding midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. Not a single forward.
Paris FC
That gives Paris FC a chance to make their mark: despite sitting 11th, they have already scored nine goals, more than OGC Nice and, in fact, more than 12 clubs. Paris FC are creating at roughly that rate (9.25 xG). Even a 3:2 defeat in the capital against Strasbourg Alsace did not dislodge them from 11th. This match marked the newcomer's fourth straight game with the over.
