Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
The Oklahoma City Thunder’s winning streak has now reached 10 games, and there’s no sign of slowing down in their race with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top seed in the playoffs. Up next are the visiting Detroit Pistons — without their marquee name — and the Thunder are fully focused on extending their run.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder have reassembled their ultimate starting five. Jalen Williams is back after a seven-game absence and has slotted in alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. That group has been steamrolling opponents on the offensive end — posting 125.1 points per 100 possessions across 132 minutes together. In this setup, the Thunder thrive in high-tempo matchups, dispatching fellow fast-paced sides like the Indiana Pacers (132:111) and the Chicago Bulls (145:117) with ease.
Detroit Pistons
The Pistons may be without Cade Cunningham, but ironically, they’ve just enjoyed their best offensive stretch of the season without him. Three of their four highest-scoring outings this year have come recently — against the New Orleans Pelicans, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Cleveland Cavaliers — all of which saw them operate at over 130 offensive rating. Superb ball movement has been key, with eight different Pistons players hitting double figures in those games.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Detroit Pistons Prediction
As a result, five of the Detroit Pistons’ last six contests have gone over the projected total. These sides last met on 15 March and the posted line hasn’t shifted, despite the clear uptick in the Pistons’ scoring form since then. With both teams leaning into a fast-paced and offensive style, this sets up perfectly for another high-scoring affair.
