Orlando Magic
The first you have to look at in the Magic is Anthony Black, who is a tough guard with playmaking skills and good 3-point shots. He played in 69 games for the Magic last season and even got some playing time in the play-offs. Besides Black, the team has Jett Howard (the 11th pick in the 2023 draft) and Tristan da Silva, a power forward who has impressed his teammates with his high basketball IQ in practice.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers aren’t the biggest favourite for this tournament. They are only ranked 14th in the odds to win. They don’t have a lot of skilled second-year players who usually make a big impact in Summer League, especially early on. Their headliner is Craig Porter Jr., who is an undrafted point guard who started last season on a two-way contract.
Orlando Magic – Cleveland Cavaliers prediction
At least, the teams have their best players in the early Summer League games to see who can handle the competition and has moved on to the next level. I expect the Magic will have more time to play. They look like a better team, so I bet on them.
