Panama
Panama were the only team in the group stage to score 10 goals, helped by a commanding victory over Jamaica in the third round, where they netted four times. It’s no surprise that Manfred Ugalde finished as the top scorer in the group stage with six goals. Ugalde maintained consistent form throughout the season for FC Spartak Moscow, scoring 17 goals in 29 Russian Premier League matches.
Honduras
The Honduras squad managed a combined total of just four goals — fewer than Manfred Ugalde scored on his own. However, their group posed little resistance, making their path to the knockout round relatively uncomplicated. Canada were the only strong opponents and they dismantled Honduras 6:0. The remaining sides were more evenly matched, but the team still managed wins over El Salvador (2:0) and Curaçao (2:1).
Panama vs Honduras Prediction
In the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Honduras managed to hold Panama to a 1:1 draw, despite collecting only four points across 14 matches in the final round. Panama, by contrast, accumulated 21 points. A repeat of that upset looks improbable: Panama are expected to win. A handicap bet could also be worth considering.
