Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Copa América Femenina match.
If you're considering backing Paraguay to get past Brazil, you're banking on a major upset. It's a long shot, to say the least.
Paraguay (women)
In their last ten fixtures, Paraguay have secured four victories — although two of those came against club sides and carry limited significance. They’ve consistently struggled against higher-calibre international opposition, falling twice to the lower-ranked Uruguay (1:2, 0:1). At this tournament, they earned a straightforward 4:0 win over Bolivia, but were then soundly beaten 1:4 by Colombia.
Brazil (women)
In their last ten outings, the reigning South American champions have been dominant, suffering only two defeats and winning the remaining eight. Among these was a 2:1 victory over the top-ranked United States, a result that underlines their quality compared to other South American squads. Still, the start of their Copa América Femenina 2025 campaign hasn’t quite lived up to expectations. They beat the 48th-ranked Venezuela by a modest 2:0 and then convincingly dismantled Bolivia with a 6:0 scoreline.
Paraguay (women) vs Brazil (women) Prediction
In recent history, these sides have met three times at the Copa América Femenina, with Brazil emerging victorious on each occasion. The winning margins were steady — two or three goals — suggesting a clear but not overwhelming superiority. While we won’t speculate on the final score, it's highly likely the match will feature at least four goals in total.
