Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Ligue 1 match.
Paris FC
The start of the season was difficult for Paris FC, with two away defeats at Angers SCO (0:1) and Olympique de Marseille (2:5). However, the team responded by beating Metz (3:2) and then won away at Stade Brestois 29 (2:1). Ilyes Kebbal has impressed with three goals, while a recent signing has added two goals and an assist. The defence remains a concern, because Paris have conceded nine goals in four matches, with only Stade Brestois 29 and Lorient worse on 10 and 12, respectively.
Strasbourg
Strasbourg are in good form again. In four matches the side have taken three 1:0 victories (Metz, Nantes, Le Havre) and lost only to AS Monaco (2:3) with a goal in the 90+6th minute. As a result, Strasbourg have conceded just three goals, which represent the best defensive statistics in Ligue 1. The attack is less explosive, with five goals in four matches. The squad relies on disciplined defending and controlled, positional build-up. The games are often short on clear chances, but the approach is effective.
Paris FC vs Strasbourg Prediction
Both teams are not inclined to high-scoring contests. Paris FC seek to make the most of home advantage and minimise errors at the back, while Strasbourg keep things tight and do not allow many chances. The visitors currently look a level above and should at least avoid defeat by staying solid in defence.
