Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Ligue 1 match.
Paris Saint-Germain’s dominant run of form does not guarantee a smooth end to the season, but a victory over AS Monaco would give them a commanding lead in the title race, allowing them to shift focus to the Champions League and Coupe de France.
Paris Saint-Germain
Over their last 13 matches in all competitions, Paris Saint-Germain have won 12. Since their draw against Reims (1:1), the Parisians have delivered impressive performances, dismantling Stuttgart (4:1), Stade Brestois (5:2), and Le Mans (2:0). In their four Ligue 1 matches since January, they have amassed 12.39 xG (second-highest in the league) while allowing just 3.01 xGA—the best defensive record in the competition. One of the key figures in PSG’s resurgence has been Ousmane Dembélé, who has hit scintillating form, scoring 11 goals in just six matches in 2025.
AS Monaco
Their shock defeat to relegation-battling Montpellier 1:2 once again highlighted their inconsistent form. Even in their win over Auxerre (4:2), Monaco struggled early, conceding 1.42 xGA—mistakes that Paris Saint-Germain will ruthlessly punish. Compounding their issues, Monaco will be without two key players, Folarin Balogun and Wilfried Singo, both of whom are crucial to Adi Hütter’s tactical setup. New forward Mika Biereth has shown promise, but he is unlikely to pose a serious threat to PSG’s defence.
Paris Saint-Germain vs AS Monaco Prediction
Since the start of the 2023/24 season, Paris Saint-Germain have won three of their last four meetings with Monaco, including back-to-back victories in December and January (4:2 and 1:0). Playing at home, they will dictate the tempo and should comfortably secure all three points.
