Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
With eight rounds remaining in the Serie A campaign, only two clubs are still vying for the Scudetto. Inter Milan currently sit at the top of the standings, but their lead over Napoli is a narrow three points. In the upcoming round, they travel to face Parma, who are fighting to stay afloat and avoid relegation.
Parma
Parma have recorded just one win from their last 12 outings. Their main weakness lies at the back. The squad has the second-worst defensive record in the division, having conceded 49 goals. Furthermore, their opponents have generated 51 xGA — the worst statistic in the league by that measure. Defensive woes have been compounded by long-term injuries to two key defenders — Alessandro Circati and Mateusz Kowalski — who have both been sidelined since early 2024. No suitable replacements have been identified.
Inter Milan
Inter Milan are also dealing with absences, but this has not impeded Simone Inzaghi’s progress. Recently, top scorer Marcus Thuram returned to the lineup and has already scored twice in six substitute appearances. Still, he is not the central figure in the attack — nor is Lautaro Martínez. Turkish midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu has rediscovered his best form, contributing directly to four goals (three goals and one assist) in his last four matches.
Parma vs Inter Milan Prediction
Inter Milan have scored at least twice in four of their previous five games. Given Parma’s defensive frailty, there is little to suggest that the goals will dry up in this fixture — especially as Inter Milan put three past them in the reverse meeting earlier this season.
