Even six goals might not suffice this time, as just last month, in December 2024, their previous encounter ended in the Florida Panthers' favour (7:5).

A shutout is indeed a rarity for the Flyers' goalies. Only Samuel Ersson has managed to secure two, with the other coming back in late October against the Boston Bruins (2:0). Even the Swede boasts a save percentage below 90% (88.8%). It’s worth noting that the Flyers rank 30th in the league for defensive reliability, conceding 3.47 goals per game. However, they perform decently in attack, averaging three goals and sitting 15th in the offensive rankings.
Florida Panthers
The Panthers aren’t exactly rock-solid at the back either, with 3.07 goals conceded per game, placing them 17th. Yet, their attack remains commendable, with 3.26 goals per game (ranking ninth). Sam Reinhart, their leading scorer from recent seasons, remains in the top 15 in the league for points (25+24). On the Flyers' side, Travis Konecny should pose a challenge with eight points (3+5) in the last five games, and even slightly edges Reinhart overall this season with 50 points (20+30).
