Poland
Buksa is key forward of the Polish side without Milik and Lewandowski. He scored the only Polish goal in the game versus the Netherlands in the beginning of the match. Surprisingly, Poland statistically failed exactly that part of the game (0.23 xG vs 1.41 xG). The Netherlands won the game after all (2:1). Even if Lewandowski recovers fron his injury he will be unable to play in full sttength. If Salamon is injured, it will affect the defensive line.
Austria
The head coach took brave and right decisions in the game versus France following the own goal scored by Wöber. The substituitions made in the 59th minute created an attacking foor with Sabitzer, Baumgartner, Wimmer and Arnautović. Austria had a better ball possession (51-49). They played perfectly in the qualifying tournament. They proved they could beat anyone.
Poland – Austria prediction
Both sides still have a chance to advance to the knockout stage. Austria seemed to play better in the first game. They’ve won 16 of their last 18 games (2:3 vs Belgium and 0:1 vs France). Poland are unstable, they’re unlikely to be a tough opponent for Austria.
