Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the UEFA Europa League match.
Rapid Wien
In the first half in Kraków, Rapid constantly attacked Wisła (8 shots to 6) and scored in the 38th minute. However, before the half-time, the team lost their right-back Bendegúz Bolla and played with 10 men. They got lucky with a goal from Matthias Seidl, but then they stuck in defence. Marc Carbó’s goal didn’t stop the Austrian team from winning (2-1), but it showed their weaknesses.
Wisła Kraków
In the end of the match, Wisła had more shots than Rapid (19-11). In the second half, it was almost hard to believe that Kraków wasn't a top Polish league team. They drew against Polonia (0:0) this weekend. They played most of that game down a man after Wiktor Biedrzycki was sent off.
Rapid Wien - Wisła Kraków Prediction
Matches on Sunday probably took a lot out of Rapid and Wisła, but both teams will be trying hard to win in the upcoming game. It’s likely that the Austrian team will go to the next round, playing at home, even though last week they made up problems themselves.
Playing home will give Rapid confidence, and Wisła won’t be completely focusing on defence. We can expect another exciting game with goals from both sides.
