For Getafe, the campaign is all but settled — they are safe from the relegation zone, yet five points adrift of the European places. This mid-standings encounter could reveal which side still harbours ambitions of a late-season surge.
Rayo Vallecano
Rayo Vallecano have been mired in a prolonged slump. They have claimed just one win in their last ten league games and are winless in their previous five at home. Those matches came against fellow bottom-half sides, including RCD Espanyol, Sevilla, and Valencia. The main concern remains their lack of cutting edge in the final third: in their last six home fixtures, they have only once scored more than a single goal.
Getafe
Getafe are also enduring a rough patch, with three straight defeats and just one goal scored during that span. However, their away form has been impressive — the squad have won six of their last eight La Liga games on the road. Getafe possess the third-best defensive record in the league, having conceded just 30 goals. Their cautious and disciplined style is evident in away fixtures: only once in 16 matches has the Total Over 3.5 landed.
