RCD Mallorca
Mallorca have started the season poorly and have collected only one point from four matches. The attack is struggling — four goals scored (the third-worst tally in Spanish La Liga). Even against Espanyol (2:3) the team produced 23 attempts, 10 of which were on target, but wasteful finishing and defensive errors undermined their efforts. The defence is under strain and has already conceded nine times in four outings (the second-worst mark).
Atlético Madrid
Atlético Madrid are posting more assured results. The squad have scored in every match this season. In the recent meeting with Liverpool (2:3), Marcos Llorente scored twice. Although the defeat was painful, the level of their attacking play is not in doubt. In attack, Atlético Madrid have Alexander Sørloth, Julián Alvarez, Giacomo Raspadori and Diego Pablo Simeone. At the back, lapses occur, but the defence held firm against Villarreal (2:0), even though they trail only Barcelona for goals scored. In the head-to-head against the hosts, the visitors have dominated — five consecutive wins with an aggregate score of 8:1.
RCD Mallorca vs Atlético Madrid Prediction
Atlético Madrid possess a stronger squad and a higher-calibre attack. Mallorca can compete, but they are unlikely to contain the visitors. We expect the visitors to win.
