Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Europa League match.
Real Betis
The Spanish side is the main favourite to qualify for the play-offs from the first place. Their squad is better than any other opponent in the group has. It is even more obvious in their home games. They beat Sparta (2:1) and Aris (4:1). They created at least 1,5 xG and at least two great attempts on goal (over 0,3 xG per shot) in each of those games.
Rangers
Rangers are one point behind their opponent. It’s going to be hard to prove they deserve to be first. Anyway, Rangers will do their best to win, and they have good chances to score, at least. The side has already had 12 games in all tournaments under their current head coach, scoring at least 1 goal in 11 games and without losing any of the matches.
Real Betis – Rangers prediction
Three teams can take first position in this group, including Rangers. However, the Scottish side has already proved that they can take points only under comfortable circumstances. They have taken only 1 point in the away games, totally losing in xG even in the game versus Aris.
I expect to see risky football from both sides. The difference in their level will make it even brighter.
