Adam Williams presents his prediction for the EuroLeague match.
In their last home game, Real Madrid fell to Anadolu Efes with little resistance (64:74). Following this defeat, rumours about the head coach's dismissal have only intensified. Can Chus Mateo seize his last chance to retain his position?
Real Madrid
Real Madrid are experiencing significant defensive issues. Even teams like Virtus Bologna and Olimpia Milano have managed to score 86 and 85 points, respectively, against them. Nevertheless, the high-level talent is still present and occasionally shines through in attack. Real Madrid averages 82.4 points per game, but these numbers shouldn't be overly relied upon. Before their modest showing against Anadolu Efes (64:74), there's the standout performance against Virtus, where Madrid scored 98 points and hit a remarkable 15 three-pointers.
ALBA Berlin
In the previous round, ALBA Berlin suffered a crushing defeat to Bayern Munich (88:115), trailing by as much as -40 during the game. Even the efforts of Matteo Spagnolo and Trevion Williams, who scored 23 and 16 points respectively, couldn't salvage the game. ALBA's defence is frankly dreadful, with almost every opponent scoring 85 points or more. However, their offence often delivers solid performances, as seen in their game against Olimpia Milano, where they managed to score 105 points.
Real Madrid vs ALBA Berlin Prediction
We believe this match will be entertaining. There's no point in predicting the margin by which Real Madrid will win, given the team's inconsistency. However, despite their struggles, the Spanish side should have no difficulty breaking down ALBA Berlin's porous defence.
