Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the US Open match.
After quite a long time, much to the delight of fans who enjoy betting on 'over' totals in sets and matches, Reilly Opelka has returned to the court. Though since his injury, the American’s stats have become less predictable, and totals under 10.5 in sets featuring Reilly are no longer rare. However, Opelka still stands out from the vast majority of his opponents with his phenomenal serve, which is incredibly difficult to return.
Despite Italian Lorenzo Musetti’s improvement in the second half of the season, he still struggles to consistently play three consecutive sets. Therefore, we have every reason to expect Opelka to win at least one set, and in a four-set match, the bookmaker's offered total is unlikely to hold.
