Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Nations League match.
Romania find themselves in League C by mistake and are eager to quickly rectify this oversight by defeating the only remaining competitor for promotion. Kosovo's approach will be similar, as this is their last chance.
Romania
Romania have yet to drop points in their four Nations League matches and have only conceded goals against Lithuania in both games (2:1, 3:1). They have proven to be the toughest opponent, despite them being at the bottom with no points. Away from home, the Baltic side had to come from behind, aided by a penalty. Against Kosovo, the Romanians cruised to victory even away, winning 3:0.
Kosovo
Kosovo are ranked highly as they have faced opponents below them in three of their four games. The Cyprus national team, which they thrashed twice (4:0 away and 3:0 at home), is ranked 127th. Lithuania are even lower at 141st (2:1), although they provided more of a challenge. The Balkaners themselves are 101st in the world rankings. Compare this with Romania, who sit 43rd.
Romania vs Kosovo Prediction
In Bucharest, Romania should comfortably handle Kosovo. The teams have already met in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, with Romania securing a 2:0 victory. They will win again this time—it’s crucial for them.
