Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the 2024 Masters match.
Ronnie O’Sullivan
This is one of Ronnie O’Sullivan’s favourite tournaments. He’s home, the audience here loves and supports him. Although, the form that O’Sullivan demonstrated in Macau is controversial. Probably, a long flight, another time zone and climatic adaptation affected a lot. Another thing is that maybe Ronnie has never been able to focus seriously on an invitational tournament. Here, in London, O’Sullivan has all possibilities to perform well.
Ding Junhui
Ding was smashed by Judd Trump 1:6 in China. Things hadn’t been much better before this either. Ding has had good performance in London, although he admits that it has always been hard for him to play in England. Ding was eliminated from the Scottish tournament rapidly, he didn't manage to qualify for the Berlin Masters. This is why his current form is even more controversial than in the case of his opponent.
Ronnie O’Sullivan – Ding Junhui prediction
Ronnie and Ding have had many head-to-head matches. Sometimes they were exciting, ending in a decisive frame. Sometimes they ended very quickly. I believe this match won’t be a long one.
