Despite high expectations, the hosts have had a dreadful start to the season, securing just one victory in four games—defeating Partizan (88:82) on 3 October. Now they face strong UCAM Murcia, who clearly have no intention of giving away points.
Saski Baskonia
The main issue for the hosts is a lack of cohesion among the players in attack, averaging 15.5 turnovers per game. Over the summer, the club signed eight new players, none of whom had previous ACB experience. This inexperience is further reflected in the 21.5 fouls committed per game. Therefore, it's premature to expect high results from the team.
UCAM Murcia
The visitors defeated Peristeri in the Champions League this week (76:81), having previously beaten Surne Bilbao (89:83 OT). Their well-structured defence deserves praise, averaging 9.5 steals and performing strongly on the boards with 39 rebounds, including 15.5 on the offensive end.
Saski Baskonia vs UCAM Murcia Prediction
Last season, the teams met twice and exchanged home victories. However, given Saski Baskonia's activities during the offseason, referring to those matches is not very relevant. Currently, we are confident that the hosts are not in the best form and are not clear favourites in this matchup. UCAM Murcia can, at the very least, pose a challenge until the final whistle.
