Scotland
Scotland were completely passive in their offensive actions in the game against Germany (1:5). Only after 2 goals were missed the head coach made something to make the attacking game more dangerous. But the Porteous was sent off and this was the end. Scotland finally had 0 xG and they made only 257 passes, while Germany made 697 passes. Scotland need to change something in their attacking line. But instead, they will have to do something with their defensive actions to substitute Porteous.
Switzerland
Switzerland were unstable in the qualifying tournament, finishing second behind Romania and ahead of Israel and Belarus. But the first game in Germany proved that nothing from the past matters. Duah and Aebisher contributed a lot to the Swiss victory. Embolo impressed too. He was injured and played only 5 games in the French Ligue 1, but easily used his only attempt against Hungary to make the score 3:1.
Scotland – Switzerland prediction
The first round revealed the difference between Scotland and Switzerland. Scottish players were kind of afraid of Germany. Switzerland didn’t tremble at all. The Swiss side had 2.50 xG in the first game, which means that Scotland will suffer again.
