Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Championship match.
Sheffield United have begun to concede and faced two consecutive defeats. Is something amiss at the Yorkshire club? Will Stoke City become the third side to defeat them?
Sheffield United
This time around, it will be much more challenging for Stoke City. Firstly, Sheffield United lost to fairly strong teams, especially at home, Leeds United and Middlesbrough. Secondly, the team will now play at their own ground. Their last defeat at Bramall Lane was against Tottenham Hotspur (0:3) back in the Premier League. As for the Championship, Sheffield United are on a 10-match unbeaten run at home (9 wins and a draw).
Stoke City
Meanwhile, Stoke City’s ongoing unbeaten away run stands at just one match — they drew against Swansea City (0:0) earlier this week. Their last goal (and victory) on the road came in the fourth round against Plymouth Argyle — quite the achievement. Scoring more than one goal is a persistent issue for Stoke City.
Sheffield United vs Stoke City Prediction
Sheffield United have to stop losing. They understand this themselves. We are sure there will be a win in this match, considering the results of the teams' last two head-to-head meetings in South Yorkshire: 2:1 and 3:1.
